House of Representatives Show - “The 99” - The Ohio Art Education Association joined with the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Arts Council to mount a student Exhibition representing all 99 House Districts in the State of Ohio.  The exhibition recognizes the talents, creativity, and innovation of students who receive high quality arts education instruction as part of their academic experience in school.  It represents art by some of Ohio’s finest high school artists.
The show is displayed in the Statehouse walkway that connects the Riffe Center to the Statehouse in Columbus. This is the same passage legislators take to and from their offices every day. It is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the great work of our art students to their representatives in state government.
Only one piece of art will be selected from each of the 99 Ohio districts.
The House of Representatives Chair and the Ohio Arts Council will jury the submissions.
It is the intention of OAEA and OAC not to repeat the same schools in consecutive years,
but if only one school from a region participates annually this work will be accepted.
Awards Reception: 2018 TBD Likely in March, early April.  Dates depend on House and Riffe Gallery Schedule.
