Welcome to the website
of the Ohio Art Education Association, the professional organization
of art educators in the State of Ohio. We represent art teachers
at the levels of elementary, middle school, secondary, and higher
education. We also represent art teachers at the student / pre-service
level, museum educators, supervisors and art administrators, and
retired art teachers. This is their organization and reflects their
concerns, ideas, needs, and activities.
Please check out the various pages for general information
or for answers to questions you may have concerning our professional
organization. Look for news on upcoming events and professional
meetings. Notice the membership opportunities, information on awards
and recognition programs, and advocacy updates. Registration forms
for art exhibitions are on-line for your convenience. We have also
included registration forms for workshops and our annual convention.
If you have any ideas about information you would
like to see on the website, please contact us with your ideas.
Also, if you have thoughts about directions and activities for
the association or a division or region, please share those with
us also.
Feel free to email questions to our officers whose
names appear on the page for "OAEA Leadership." Check
into the pages for Regional and Divisional news. Even observe what
other regions of the state are working on and accomplishing. New
information for the website may be directed to our Technology Chairperson,
Mandy Brooks, at mkbrooks@neo.rr.com.
We're looking forward to hearing from you! Stop by
again soon to keep up on the current issues in art education. OAEA
and its members are here to promote art education. We welcome your
involvement and interest.
Sincerely yours,
Sherrie Dennis
