OAEA is beginning an initiative
to support NBCT. This initiative is being chaired by Bev Grady,
bevg@hotmail.com. Please contact
her for more information about National Board Certification. We
want to hear from those who are
candidates or are considering
NB Certification.
The annual stipend forms for Ohio National Board Certified Teachers will be available online on the ODE website beginning March 21 until May 30. All Ohio NBCTs are required to complete both pages of the stipend request form prior to receiving their annual stipend for the 2007-2008 school year.
If you are interested in pursuing National Board Certification this year you must attend an orientation session to qualify for funding through the Ohio Department of Education. The session locations and times are listed on the ODE website. You may apply for National Board funding through the Ohio Department of Education beginning April 1 until April 30. Four day state funded workshops of intense preparation for National Board will be offered this summer - locations and times to be determined. Check the ODE website for the email address of the support site coordinator in your region to obtain more information about the orientation sessions, study groups, and the summer workshops.
