From Judy Kahle, Commercial Exhibits Manager
With the Columbus convention coming up in November,
most of us are studying the schedule to determine how to make good
use of the time. One event you need to pencil in somewhere is a trip
to visit the Commercial Exhibitors. These businesses have been making
plans to return to Ohio with new products and new ideas for using
familiar materials.
Many of the displays are presented by companies we deal with as we
order our general supplies. Binney and Smith, Blick Art Materials,
Nasco Arts and Crafts, Prism, Sanford, Triarco Arts and Crafts and
United Art and Education have all reserved two or more booths in order
to provide large displays or demonstration areas. They will be joined
by Curry’s Artist’s Supplies, Handy Art, Lakeshore Learning
Materials, Sax Arts and Crafts and Utrecht Art Supplies.
Other suppliers include ColArt America’s, Chroma Inc., and the
Scratch Art Company. Those in need of brushes can stop by Royal and
Longnickel’s booth or Scharf Brushes. Paper suppliers include
Riverside Paper and Pacon Corporation and Delphi returns with those
glass related supplies.
Once again we are fortunate to have many clay and glaze companies
join us. Amaco/Brent, Campbell Clay, Columbus Clay Co., Duncan Enterprises,
Laguna Clay Co., Mayco, Ohio Ceramic Supply, Rovin Ceramics and Spectrum
Glazes have all reserved space at our convention.
Looking for a way to raise money for your program? Stop in at Art
to Remember, 4everart, Original Works or Square 1 Art to see a variety
of possibilities.
Armstrong Tool and Supply Company is looking forward to joining us
along with Museum Apparel and a newcomer to the convention, Rosemary
Remembrances II. Also be sure to visit the representatives from the
Art Academy of Cincinnati and the Savannah College of Art and Design.
It’s always good to be able to view books and we are lucky to
have Crizmac Art and Cultural Education Materials, Crystal Productions,
Davis Publications, Glencoe McGraw-Hill and SRA McGraw-Hill.
There is still time to reserve space so this list will continue to
grow. The Commercial Exhibitors are important supporters of our convention
and would love to have everyone stop by to see them. Please let them
know how much we appreciate their presence at our convention!
