2003 Toledo convention committee

Destination ART is the theme for the 2003 annual convention held in Toledo at the Radisson Hotel & Seagate Convention Center from Nov. 6-8, 2003. Mark your calendars; we hope many of you will be joining us for our journey of 3 days. Our committee is hard at work to secure excellent speakers and off-site opportunities as well as great workshops. We'll kick off the convention early on Thursday with breakfast prior to the first round of workshops, and we're excited about the addition of luncheon Divisional Meetings this year. Regional meetings will maintain their luncheon as well. The artist's market will again continue, with a very exciting Friday evening planned for all. The Toledo Museum of Art will have 3 terrific exhibitions at the time of our convention. Princely Pursuits: Miniature Painting and Landscape Photography of India and Modern American Photography will be up, in addition to the major exhibition Hendrick Goltzius: Prints, Drawings, and Paintings. The Goltzius exhibition will be the first ever retrospective on this 16th-17th-century Dutch artist in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Toledo has many other galleries close to the hotel & convention center that can be visited during the day as well.

If you are in a region who doesn't host a convention and you'd like to jump on board with the Toledo committee, please let me know. We're always looking for more volunteers; it's what makes oaea such a fun and rewarding organization. I can be contacted at the email below; the Toledo committee is looking forward to hosting a terrific convention~~JOIN US!
