The 2011 Dayton Conference has come to an end.  A great team of local and state volunteers made this professional development opportunity the best in the state.  Thanks also go out to the conference presenters who shared their inspiration and expertise with conference participants.  Three board members were elected during the Annual Meeting: Randy Robart, President Elect; Nancy Vogel, Treasurer; Yolanda Brown, 1st Vice President.  Watch for the next Artline for conference highlights and more.

OAEA Mourns the Loss of
Jerry Tollifson

Ohio lost one of the true great leaders for Arts Education in Ohio with the passing of Jerry. As you may know Jerry, founded the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, worked as the ODE consultant for many years, served the OAEA as leader and board member and contributed to countless other arts initiatives throughout the state for over 5 decades. He was an artist, an advocate and an avid supporter of the Arts in Ohio and will be truly missed by all that knew him. The OAEA is thankful for Jerry, his presence and his lifetime of work for the arts in Ohio.
